Scope of work

The plan depends
on the tree.

Access, defects, targets, species, weather, and long-term property goals all matter. An assessment turns those conditions into a clear recommendation.

01

Tree removal

Sectional or directional removal planned around structures, terrain, traffic, and cleanup access.

Assess a removal →
02

Tree trimming

Deadwood, clearance, structure, and risk-focused pruning with the health and form of the tree in mind.

Request trimming →
03

Storm damage

Priority evaluation for split limbs, uprooting, hanging branches, and trees affecting structures or access.

Call for response →
04

Stump grinding

Stump and surface-root grinding planned around gates, utilities, grade, and the intended use of the space.

Price a stump →
05

Tree risk check

A visual assessment of concerning lean, cavities, deadwood, root disturbance, and nearby targets.

Protect the property.

Ironbark is a fictional tree-service identity grounded in what good tree work should communicate: a defined drop zone, appropriate rigging, protected targets, trained ground support, and a cleanup plan.

01Pre-work briefing

Crew roles, hazards, equipment, targets, and escape routes reviewed before cutting.

02Property protection

Ground mats, controlled lowering, traffic awareness, and practical access planning.

03Cleanup standard

Debris handled to the written scope, work zone raked, and access restored.

Assessment notes

Before the crew arrives.

How do you decide whether a tree should be removed?

The decision considers visible defects, roots, lean, canopy condition, species, targets, site changes, and whether pruning or monitoring can reasonably reduce the concern. No visual assessment can guarantee a tree will not fail.

Can you work near utility lines?

Do not approach a tree touching a power line. Utility clearance and qualified line-clearance requirements must be determined before work is scheduled; the utility provider may need to respond first.

What happens to the wood and debris?

The estimate states whether brush is chipped and hauled, logs are removed, firewood is left, and stump grinding is included. Cleanup expectations are agreed before the job.

Do I need to be home for an estimate?

Often yes for the first assessment, especially when access, property goals, or several trees need discussion. Some clearly marked exterior requests may be reviewed without an interior appointment.

Is stump grinding included with removal?

It is a separate scope unless the written proposal specifically includes it. Access width, utilities, grade, stump diameter, and desired grinding depth affect the price.
